ArkSlate Beta Program Agreement
This covers your business's use of ArkSlate while it is in beta, alongside the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy — where this is silent, those apply; where it differs, this wins for as long as you're in the beta program.

1. What "beta" means
- Features can change, break, or be pulled, sometimes without much notice.
- No uptime commitment. We publish live status at /landing/status, but there's no contractual SLA during beta — that's a paid-plan feature; see section 9 of the Terms.
- Support is by email at support@arkslate.com, next business day on weekdays; weekends and holidays are best effort.
2. What you get
- No charge during beta.
- 30 days' written notice before any billing starts — price and plan by email to the account owner; cancel before then and pay nothing.
- Your data, out, any time, in the formats the product already supports.
3. What we ask of you
- Feedback — what's broken, confusing, or missing.
- Don't treat ArkSlate as your only system of record for tax filings during beta. Keep your existing books running in parallel. Section 5 of the Terms applies here too.
- Report defects promptly rather than working around them.
4. Your data
Your customers' data belongs to you, exactly as section 6 of the Terms and the Privacy Policy say — beta doesn't change who owns what.
If you leave the program, or it ends, we delete your data within 30 days, unless you ask us to keep it (e.g. moving to a paid plan) or the law requires otherwise.
5. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe, as in the regular product — see section 5 of the Terms. ArkSlate never holds card numbers. Disputes go through Stripe's process; we can help you understand them, but don't decide them.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent Oklahoma law allows, our total liability arising out of the beta program is limited to the fees you paid for it — since beta is free, zero dollars. This doesn't limit liability the law forbids limiting, or either side's fraud or wilful misconduct — same carve-outs as Terms section 11.
7. Term and termination
The term runs as agreed at signing below; where nothing is agreed there, it is open-ended, and either of us can end it on 14 days' written notice — email is enough. We can end it immediately for misuse under the Terms' acceptable-use rules, or conduct that risks the platform or other tenants. When it ends — for you, or for the program — section 4 governs your data.
8. Governing law
Oklahoma law governs this agreement; Terms section 13 (talk to us first, then arbitration) applies to disputes arising from it.
